Marc Jacobs frivoluxe eye-conic palette review

As you know Marc Jacobs beauty recently launched in the UK and I’ve been obsessed ever since, I’ve picked up a few of their products and for Christmas I received this pretty eyeshadow palette which I’m about to tell you about. The Marc Jacobs eye-conic palettes are inspired by the runway and feature four fashion textures: buttery matte velvet, shimmering satin, sparkling silk and metallic lame. The formula is really creamy and blends effortlessly. There are 6 different palettes to choose from: provocouture, glambition, frivoluxe, scandalust, edgitorial and smartorial, each containing a mix of neutral shades and a pop of colour and today I’m sharing my thoughts on the frivoluxe palette.

Pictured left to right: fabulous, always and dress

Shade 1 Fabulous

I’d describe this shade as a very light, whitish peach with a pearly sheen, even though it’s subtle, it’s buildable, it’s a nice shade for the inner corners of your eyes

Shade 2 Always

Always is a pale pink with a satin finish, what I will say is it’s not as sparkly as it looks in the pan which is a little disappointing and it is also very subtle but it could make a nice base for a pink shadow that you want to pop more

Shade 3 Dress

I really like this dark plum shade with warm undertones and a frosted finish, the pigment is really rich too which is great

Pictured left to right: outrageously, how you want, who has time and for less

Shade 4 Outrageously

Outrageously is a bright violet purple with cool undertones, it has a silky texture and matte finish, definitely a shade to get you noticed

Shade 5 How you want

A gorgeous blackened purple with warm undertones and a satin sheen, the pigment is rich and opaque colour payoff in a single layer, sure to definitely bring the colour of your eyes out

Shade 6 Who has time

A metallic brownish pewter, the colour payoff is opaque and the texture is smooth, silky and easy to work with

Shade 7 For less

A bluish grey with cool undertones and a matte finish, the coverage was buildable but the texture was thin and dusty
